Sally Hansen: Creme Hair Remover Duo Review
Facial hair, ugh. One of the struggles in life is having excessive facial and bodily hair. I have dark, thick hair which is amazing cause my hair is amazing. However, that also means that the hair on my arm, legs, face, etc are also dark as night and insanely thick. My hair also grows back super quick, so I thought this creme remover would do the trick on my sideburns. We're self conscious about these qualities no one else seems to notice. I told my friend about my hairy sideburns and she said "What sideburns?"
Nonetheless, I decided to get this remover duo. I originally wanted to get one by Nairs because I saw DulceCandy talk about it but I couldn't find it in stores. So I bought this one for about $7. The first time I opened the bottle, the stench hit me. It smelled horrible, like chemicals or something. But I pushed through and slathered it on my sideburns. The instructions said to leave it on no longer than 8 minutes, so after 7 minutes I went to remove it. I didn't feel any burning or pain. It removed the hair pretty well, but I didn't take into consideration that I had tiny hairs on my cheek. I was left with two hairless circles on my face. I panicked like crazy. It's alright now because after a day or two, hair started growing back.
Pros:
- affordable
- good job at removing hair
- left no rash or patches on my skin
Cons:
- horrible smell
- some people said it left a rash, red patches or swelling on their face. (make sure you test it on your arm first!)
- Instructions would be easier if they were on the bottles
Would I buy this again: No
