Chinese Clothing Haul!

Clothing brand: Senfang
Accessories: random little stores in Xuhui

Pro: Everything was under $10 US dollars
Cons: not the best quality, some are kind of itchy

shoutout to my momma for knowing my style.
Changing and taking multiple pictures takes so long.
I don't know how real fashion bloggers do it.

I was going to make it look like many outfits with different pants
and doing my hair differently and stuff, but laziness conquers all

my favorite out of all the clothes
and the color, yes

got it in coral too. this is coral right?

super itchy

love this pattern

this says something about catching a train.

this is super itchy too. it's like a long blazer

these socks are so cute. Too bad no one will see them under my shoes.
But I'll know.

these are like giant hair bows you could do updos with

OOTD: Flower Power part 2

First of all, yes, my last OOTD was all black too.
 Just a coincidence.

I also have another post titled "flower power"
cause I lack creativity when making titles.
how about "float like a flower petal" or "flowery fun"
or "I'm wearing black even though it's 80 degrees outside"

Oh and also I was sweaty when I took this picture cause it's mighty hot out here.
 So glamorous, I know

Oh and I've worn these things on this blog before
cause that's how clothes work

My shoes are also cut off but I liked this picture best out of all my awkward poses.
Don't worry, they're super basic. like me. ya

Battle of the Blotting Sheets

As an oily skin girl, blotting sheets save my life. I've tried a couple brands and decided to review them. I've ranked them from my favorites to worst.

Boscia Pink Peppermint Blotting Linens (100)

Pros
  • Leaves a cool feeling on your face
  • Smells great
  • 1 sheet is enough for my entire face
  • Accessible packaging
  • Won't ruin your makeup
Cons
  • $10 at Sephora

Clean & Clear Oil Absorbing Sheets (50)

Pros
  • Doesn't ruin your makeup
  • 1 sheet usually does it
  • about $5 at the drugstore and Ulta
Cons
  • The sticker inside that pulls the sheets out
 loses its sticky-ness
after 10-15 sheets. So it's difficult to take
a sheet out after

Palladio Oil Absorbing Rice Paper Tissues (40)

Pros
  • about $4 at Ulta
  • Easy packaging
  • absorbs oil well
Cons
  • Leaves powdery finish on your face
  • Powder on the tissue goes everywhere
  • my face looks dry after using these
Zon Cosmedix Oil Control Blotting Tissues(65)

Pros
  • about $6 at Ulta
  • doesn't ruin makeup
  • good packaging
Cons
  • sheets are super thin and small
  • I have to use 2-3 for my entire face

Elf Shine Eraser Blotting sheets( 50 sheets in each)

Pros

  • $3 at Target
Cons
  • doesn't pick up any oil
  • sheets are too thin and small
  • to be honest, don't expect much from these

My search for the perfect blotting sheets is never ending. If there are any other brands I should try, leave a comment down below!

DIY Lace Peter Pan Collar

For my Fashion Merchandising final, we designed a clothing line, floor plan, etc. We also had to make an actual garment so I decided to revamp a basic tank top by adding a lace and floral peter pan collar.

Materials:
  • Plain tank top
  • Lace fabric
  • Daisy trim (I got mine from Joann)
  • Scissors
  • Wax paper or tracing paper
  • Needle & thread (you could use a machine, but I chose to hand sew)

Start with a basic top
This is from American Eagle btw

Closeup of lace & daisy trim

Fold your top in half and use wax paper or tracing paper to trace out the shape as an outline. Fold the wax paper in half and line that up with the edge of the shirt so that both sides are equal

Then draw a curved line

 Adjust your template as needed
I didn't want to overload this post with pictures of me cutting it.
Just trim the lines so that the lines are curved and that the shape replicates a peter pan collar

Fold your lace in half and line up the folded edge of the template to the folded line in the lace.
Pin and cut

Line up the collar with the neckline.
Pin in place and sew

I found a daisy trim at my craft store and used that to outline the lace.
Sewing the trim is very time consuming. I sewed down each petal to ensure that it will hold on

And you're done!
Aside from my uneven collar and horrible stitching, I would say that it turned out super cute.

I took these pictures late at night and decided to document it last minute. If any of the instructions or pictures confuse you, feel free to leave questions in the comment section! It's hard to document DIY crafts lol
